Dr. Homaira Shobnam is a seasoned and compassionate doctor with a wealth of experience in the medical field, specializing in ultrasound diagnostics. Her approach to patient care is characterized by meticulous diagnosis, empathy, effective treatment, and adept management of various illnesses and diseases. Dr. Shobnam holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Science & Technology, Chittagong, obtained in the year 2002. She furthered her expertise with a Diploma in Medical Ultrasound (DMU) from Bangladesh Technical Education Board in 2007.
Dr. Shobnam pursued Post Graduate Training (PGT) in Radiology and Imaging at Chittagong Medical College from 2008 to 2009, focusing on Doppler Ultrasound and fetal anomaly scan. In 2019, she earned a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a major in Epidemiology from North South University, Dhaka.
Throughout her career, Dr. Shobnam has exhibited dedication and proficiency in her roles. She served as a Medical Officer at the Department of Radiology & Imaging, Chittagong Medical College, from 2008 to 2009. Subsequently, she took on the position of Medical Officer (Maternal & Child Health) at Bangabandhu Cantonment. Her journey continued with impactful roles as a Sonologist in various healthcare settings, including City Hospital, Ghatail Combined Military Hospital (CMH), and Cantonment Executive Office Clinic in Ghatail.
Dr. Shobnam’s tenure at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) from 2017 to 2023 solidified her expertise in ultrasound diagnostics and helped her gather further field experience. In addition to her clinical proficiency, Dr. Shobnam possesses significant management experience. She has successfully managed day-to-day operations, budgeting, and staff recruitment, demonstrating her versatility in both medical and administrative domains.
